Trying to start over

Okay, I've done some of the stuff I promised myself I would start doing in the New Year. First I have been stitching more and I'm also working on an afghan for my son. He is a senior at Georgia Tech and graduates in May. There is a good possibility that he will be moving to a colder area of the US to work and get his master's degree. He has lived in the south for the past 17 years and not used to northern weather (as a matter of fact except for 3 years in the UK I don't think he has ever lived up north). So the afghan is in the Tech colors for him to take wherever he may travel and need to be warm.
I ordered the newest Lavender and Lace pattern last week and am waiting for it to come in the mail. I got the shipping notice Friday so it should be here any day. I can't wait. I also ordered the splendor silk pack to do the over one face and am so looking forward to trying it out. I've done the over one faces before but not with silk. I wasn't going to start anything new this year until I got caught up on some stuff I let go but I may have to make an exception for this piece she just looks so pretty.

I'm addicted Part2

Well I did succeed in not playing WOW as much as normal. I also got stitching time in on 2 projects I'm currently working on. I have about 18 hours in French Alaphabet Sampler (which includes some frogging time) and about 17.5 hours in the Mirabillia RR I am in. (That is for this month. ) I think all of us are way behind on this one. I will get about 3 hours of stitching done tonight. This is one of the nights I like to stitch and watch TV. I watch the West Wing, Desperae Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. I usually get lots of stitching done while I watch these 3 shows. I'll try posting a progress picture on FAS tomorrow.

I'm addicted

I have become addicted to an on-line game called World of WarCraft. I play it a lot. It is seriously cutting into my stitching time. I need to play less and stitch more. The problem is I can play during the day when no one is home and I forget to do other stuff. This is my husband and son's fault. They told me I would like this game and I should give it a try and I did. Now I'm addicted. I sure will try over the next week to play less and stitch more.

Rotation

Okay I've started an excel worksheet to try and track my WIP's for this year. I did start 2 new projects on New Year's Day. One is the French Alphabet Sampler and the other was Celtic Winter. I am not going to to start any new projects until I clear at least one if not 2 projects from my list. So my rotation is FAS, Celtic Winter, The Token and Rosemarkie by Long Dog. I am going to make it my mission for this year to finish Lady Scarlet's journey. I am half way through the second part so I should be able to get it done fairly quickly once I get started again. Also in the rotation is Angel of the Morning. After I finsh a couple I have about 28 to 30 more WIP's that I can replace finished ones with.

A new year starts soon

A New Year starts soon with new resolutions and new hopes. My one big resolution is to eat a more healthy diet and try to excersise more.

On a fun note I also want to get a great deal more stitiching done. I have to do better at spending less time playing games on the computer and spending more time stitching. In a day or 2 I will be posting the things I really want to get stitched this year. I do know that I will be starting The French Alaphabet Sampler and Celtic Winter as New Years Challenges. I have a ton of UFO's that I need to go through and decide which I really want to get a handle on this year. I'll keep you posted.

Day after Thanksgiving

Happy day after Thanksgiving. We had a nice one here at our house. My middle son came down from college for the weekend and my oldest DS was also here. I cooked all day but the food was good so it's all good. I got a bit of stitching done last night but not as much as I wanted. Oh well I'm going to do some more today. My DH kind of pissed me off this mornng, this is a man who never wanted to go shopping on Black Friday. He decided he needed a few things today and wanted to go out. I hate shopping the day after Thanksgiving so I dragged my heels. We didn't go shopping. I dusted furniture in the dinning room and living room and cleaned up the kitchen, he stayed in bed until 11 am (which is something else he never does). He informs me he isn't talking to me and only does when he wants to complain. I told him no talking means no talking period not even to gripe. At least now it's a bite quite here. Oh well. I'm also going to continue working on trying to change the graphic looks of my blog. Hope it will work out.

Well I quit

Well I quit. I tried and tried to do a redesign on this blog spot by myself. I know HTML but not Java Scripting so I guess if I want to have it setup the way I'd like to see it I'm going to have to have someone do it for me.

As to my stitching which is what this blog is about, I'm doing okay. I didn't get finished all the things I hoped to this year but I did finish my Cottage Garden Fariy; I won third place at the Georgia National Fair for it too.

I also like to sew and I like to make the dressed bunnies that McCall's did a pattern for many years ago. I won a first place ribbon for that this year at the fair also. I had never entered anything that I had sewn before just stuff I'd cross stitched. You can see her at http://www.geocities.com/stitchgal/awardwinningbunny.jpg.
